Improving Reliability in Genome Analysis

In genome analysis, genetic information is obtained by observing slide glasses containing DNA samples or cells. However, tilt or poor flatness of a slide glass can cause defocusing and positional errors. The resulting decrease in signal intensity can distort the data, affecting analytical accuracy and repeatability.
・Solutions
A tilt sensor detects the angle and orientation of the slide glass. By compensating for the detected orientation error with the stage, the system reduces defocusing, improves reading-position accuracy and optical measurement accuracy, and stabilizes data quality. This ultimately improves the reliability of genome analysis.
