We are pleased to announce that we have added a Solution for Precision Angle Measurement on Rough (Unpolished) Surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Background<br>On unpolished metal surfaces, laser light tends to scatter, making high-precision angle measurements with conventional laser autocollimators difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solution<br>We use a thin, lightweight glass plate such as a cover glass and apply water or oil to one side to create a \u201cwater-bonded\u201d surface on the metal. This forms an optically flat measurement surface, suppressing light scattering and providing a stable reflective surface.
